Talks, demonstrations and workshops...

If you've ever wondered how Colin paints like he does, this is your chance to learn!
Colin is available for talks, demonstrations and workshops to groups such as art societies, wildlife clubs and natural history societies - or just a group of eager friends.
With many years' experience of demonstrating his art at shows, Colin is more than happy to let you watch a painting in progress. He will show you:

- Correct choice of materials;
- Stretching and wetting the paper;
- Use of the brush;
- Use of the palette, choice and mixing of colours;
- Guidance on composition and perspective;
- How to observe before you draw;
- Valuable insight into how to carve a career as a professional artist.

Colin will look at what you are trying to achieve with your own art, and suggest ways of improving your approach or technique.
Many people who have attended his classes have described them as eye-opening, inspiring and revolutionary. At least three of his former pupils are now selling their work professionally after only one lesson!

Colin is also available for one-to-one tuition - please call him to discuss it further.

For wildlife and natural history societies, Colin will give a fascinating and entertaining talk about his adventures in the wildest, most beautiful parts of Britain, and he'll show you how their landscapes and wildlife have inspired his paintings. From searching for woodcock at night on the Llyn peninsula of North Wales to watching red grouse, short-eared owls and golden eagles in the Scottish highlands - he's got lots of stories to share.
